Kabalah

The ancient intuitions of the Jewish Kabalah included a Tree Of Life. It is an energetic representation of a human and is laid out from the inspirational head at the top to the root at the bottom in a similar way to the BodyGraph of Human Design. Ra Uru Hu considered the Tree of Life to be a basic building block of Human Design. The Tree of Life has ten energy centers or spheres that are connected by twenty-two pathways. Human Design’s nine energetic Centers are connected by thirty-six Channels.

Each sphere has an energetic focus just as the Centers in Human Design do. When we try to match the Centers and spheres with their focus, we find many are somewhat similar, and some are hybrids of several Centers (see chart below).

And, we end up with one sphere left over. This is Keter, the undifferentiated energy of God. It is at the top of the Tree of Life.

Human Design Centers Cross Referenced To
The Tree Of Life

While there appears to be many similarities between the spheres of the Tree of Life and Human Design’s Centers, Ra felt Kabalah’s deep exploration of the knowledge contained in the pathways, the connectors between the spheres, was it’s most important contribution to Human Design. Like the Tree of Life connectors, when two Gates in the Human Design BodyGraph form a Channel there is an exchange of information, a conversation between each Gate’s I Ching hexagram line and it’s associated planet that flavors and defines the Channel.
